How many cigarettes… no preaching please lol?
My Question: How many cigarettes a week (minimum) could a person smoke to change the rate of your metabolism/ suppress appetite to then correlate to weight loss?
I’m curious lol. My brother smokes like a pack a week and he’s sooo skinny!
(I have this posted elsewhere on here, but i got a few "wow, smoking’s bad, you should be ashamed of your self, eeeeeep!". I’m doing it again because I’m asking a genuine question and i don’t feel the need to be "ashamed of myself" to wonder about a metabolism lol).

what part of, "i’m just curious" do some people not understand? did i say anywhere that i smoked or as intereted in smoking? my gosh.
OK – you already know it’s bad. So to answer the actual question…
If you tend to eat as a nervous habit, and instead smoked a cigarette – yes, that would make you lose weight. So however often you feel the urge to eat something (not actual hunger) is how many you’d need.
But there are plenty of people who eat the same, smoke…and are fat smokers. Or even drink while smoking, which will also pack on the pounds.
has like almost nothing to do with it. i smoke a lot. and i am not superskinny. i know a lot of fat people who smoke. i did loose a lot of weight but not because of smoking. and i smoke a pack every 2 days so like 12 a day i know green tea does help and spicey stuff. and eating breakfast, i used to skip breakfast but it really does help

Its would disturb your rate of metabolism then make it better for you so why take chance. Trust me (because i am a medical student), it has more harmful effects then you can imagine. There are much better and healthy ways to keep yourself fit

Ok I’m going to answer honestly because like most girls, you as well as I and my friends have had constant conversations about weight loss and the tatics (as extreme and unhealthy as they are). I agree with previous posters, I don’t think smoking helps the cause. Also, since your doing it for appearance purposes just look at it this way, yeah maybe it does suppress appetitie, but have you ever checked out an older lady, I’m talking even mid thirties to early forties who are smokers? Not a pretty sight, wrinkly, worn, grayish undertone to the skin…frankly just gross. My advice, do gym couple times a week and just watch the diet. You can eat, and it’s actually recommended, a bunch of small meals a day, throw in some light weight strength training, and your metabolism will be off the charts (minus the premature aging). Also, drink coffee.
