Suppressatite Suppress Your Appetite

Suppressatite - A New Way To Suppress Appetite

Archive for the ‘how to Suppress Appetite’ Category

Curious about the appetite suppressing properties of the plant, and how much must be eaten to cause death.

You apparently saw the film instead of reading the book. See the following…

You may be thinking about Hedysarum alpinum, a historically edible plant commonly known as wild potato (also "Eskimo potato"). Check here for more information: /www.adn.com/intothewild/story/219344.html.

Chris McCandless may or may not have died of poisoning–his autopsy revealed extreme decomposition but "no broken bones or internal injuries, no subcutaneous fat on his body, and the muscles had withered significantly prior to death. His body weighed 67 pounds, and starvation was posited as the most probable cause of death". Jon Krakauer, "Into the Wild", Chapter 2.

Penn’s on-screen excerpt from the ethno-botany guide Chris was using, indicating otherwise, is a complete fiction, for all that this plant lore text actually states is that the wild sweet pea “is reported to be poisonous” (Tanaina Plantlore, Priscilla Russell Kari, p. 128). The rest of it is simply made up. And so, even if McCandless made a mistake of botany, something that even Krakauer claims is unlikely, he would not have been poisoned as it is portrayed in the Penn film. Indeed, the author of Into the Wild is right on the mark when he states: “For three weeks beginning on June 24, McCandless had dug and safely eaten dozens of wild potato roots without mistaking H. mackenzii for H. alpinum; why on July 14, when he started gathering seeds instead of roots, would he suddenly have confused the two species?” A good question for Sean Penn.

Advice About Adderall from Users?

Posted by admin on Mar-8-2010

1.)If Adderall is taken only as prescribed…

A.)How effective is it at suppressing appetite and how long will it continue to do so?

B.)Does it decrease the amount of time necessary to memorize things?

C.)How difficult is it to get off of?

First of all, you need to have ADHD. The medication will effect you differently if you don’t have an ADHD brain.

It is fairly effective at suppressing appetites and will do so for the several hours it is in you system.

It doesn’t change the amount of time necessary to memorize things.

If you have ADHD and take it as prescribed, then you get off of it every evening when it wears off. If you don’t have ADHD then you will most likely get addicted to it and then withdrawal is something you need to worry about.

Need to lose weight and have a large appetite so am wondering how to suppress my apetite without resorting to tablets etc.

Coke Zero will actually increase your appetite according to recent studies, and my own experience.
A healthy, all natural way to curb your appetite is to drink some psyllium fiber when you wake up and about half hour before meals.

Also try drinking warm water, tea, or vinegar in warm water to curb appetite.

More information:
One food item which can curb the appetite is the common apple. An apple is loaded with natural fiber, which helps to create fullness without adding a significant amount of calories. Apples also contain natural sugars which could prevent a dieter’s blood sugar level from bottoming out, a situation which often triggers a desire to consume extra carbohydrates. If you feel the need to eat a snack between meals, reach for an apple.

Another food group which may curb the appetite are green leafy vegetables. Kale, spinach, or cabbage, among others, can provide significant amounts of appetite-suppressing fiber while contributing minimal or even negative calories. The effort expended while eating green leafy vegetables often negates their caloric value, making them ideal appetite suppressants during or between meals.

Some nutritionists suggest that almonds or other nuts can curb the appetite between regular meals. Again, a high amount of natural fiber slows down the digestive process, and the protein found in many nuts has the same appetite-suppression elements of lean meats or protein shakes. A handful of almonds eaten between meals should be enough to keep hunger pangs at bay.

Speaking of lean meats and protein shakes, they can also be used to curb the appetite. It may seem counter-intuitive to eat a piece of lean beef or chicken by itself, but the protein contained in lean meats takes longer to digest than the carbohydrates found in other possible snacks. A few pieces of beef jerky may curb the appetite between meals better than a bag of potato chips. Protein shakes made from natural spirutein may also provide the same effect on a dieter’s appetite.

Although not strictly a food item, many people find that water is an excellent and effective appetite suppressant. When hunger pangs strike between scheduled meals, drinking at least one glass of water can help create a sense of fullness without adding calories. Water enhanced with powdered fiber supplements may be an even more effective solution.

Best wishes!

How many cigarettes… no preaching please lol?

Posted by admin on Mar-6-2010

My Question: How many cigarettes a week (minimum) could a person smoke to change the rate of your metabolism/ suppress appetite to then correlate to weight loss?

I’m curious lol. My brother smokes like a pack a week and he’s sooo skinny!

(I have this posted elsewhere on here, but i got a few "wow, smoking’s bad, you should be ashamed of your self, eeeeeep!". I’m doing it again because I’m asking a genuine question and i don’t feel the need to be "ashamed of myself" to wonder about a metabolism lol).
i deleted some of the answers… if you don’t have an answer to my question, don’t post anything haha

what part of, "i’m just curious" do some people not understand? did i say anywhere that i smoked or as intereted in smoking? my gosh.

OK - you already know it’s bad. So to answer the actual question…

If you tend to eat as a nervous habit, and instead smoked a cigarette - yes, that would make you lose weight. So however often you feel the urge to eat something (not actual hunger) is how many you’d need.

But there are plenty of people who eat the same, smoke…and are fat smokers. Or even drink while smoking, which will also pack on the pounds.

How can I lose weight and see real progress?

Posted by admin on Mar-4-2010

I used to fast to lose weight or use laxatives but I really just want to eat. I saw small amount of weight loss last time when I went on a low calorie diet. But it was slow. Maybe I need to be patient with it.

I was thinking of giving myself 4 weeks and trying to eat healthy food - but I don’t know what to do. I know what’s healthy and what isn’t. I will be doing 1 hour run on the treadmill daily. I am planning a low fat diet, with a lot of fruit as snacks and veg + salad. I will also have protein as I like meat, but little carbohydrate to help lose weight and it makes me feel bloated anyway.
Should I use appetite suppressants like adios or hoodia, I have tried these things before the hoodia just gave me headaches - do they really suppress appetite?
Are there any carbohydrate blockers that really work? I want stuff I can get over the counter not some crazy stuff that will make me sick.
Should I try alli, I know it’s pointless if I am not having fats but I think it will stop me from indulging in fatty foods.

Any ideas as to what else I can do and how I can lose.
I am 146 lbs now, 5′2 and trying to lose 26 lbs.

Hello
I am in the same position i am currently trying to loose weight myself so i am happy to help….
I mean i am using my Wii Fit which is proving brilliant for me i can be going on it daily and see 1lb-3lb change a day mind… however i am also changing my eating habbits if i am to have a biscuit i will have 3 instead of 5 or more i will have a packet of crisps every other day not everyday and one or more packets. Tbh over the counter meds can work but you also have to put some effort in to it yourself and can you really trust these meds ?
